January 30, 1992 - More Baloney . . .

Monsignor Murphy remains intransigent while using flowery language to cover his position. Note that Monsignor believes that educational "experts" make the decisions, not the parents - who, by God, have been given the sacramental grace to raise the child.

Dear Alice:

Thank you for your note of January 24th. I appreciate your keeping me informed. I think you and I are not at all in disagreement about the virtues of purity and chastity, the importance of passing these virtues on and influencing young people on the best ways to live their lives in a chaste and wholesome way. I do understand what you are trying to say. I do agree with you about the importance of all of this. I simply at this time am not convinced of some specific positions you have taken, vis a vis the curriculum in the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese. That does not mean that there are not problems to be faced and to be overcome. But I repeat I have confidence in the people who have been charged by the Archbishop to do this work.

With my prayers and best wishes for you and Ed, I am,

In Christ,
Bill
Rev. Monsignor William Murphy
Secretary for community Relations
