February 4, 1992 - Cardinal Law must have felt uneasy.

My letters would not go away, and now there were more parents protesting. He wrote and asked me two questions.

Dear Alice:

Thank you so much for your most recent letter.

It would help me if you were to restate your position in a very succinct fashion. Specifically, I would ask you two questions:

1.  Are you opposed to to any type of education on human sexuality in classrooms of Catholic schools or in religious education programs for students not attending Catholic schools?

2.  Could you give me specific references as to titles of texts used in Catholic schools of this Archdiocese which you find to be questionable, as well as specific references within those texts to materials which you find objectionable.

This will be of assistance to me as I review this matter with Monsignor Murphy and others.
